ACC?

The Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) provides personal injury cover for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand. You simply need to fill out an ACC claim form at the time of consultation with an approved practitioner such as your osteopath or general practitioner. For more detailed information visit the ACC website.

What should I wear?

It is best to wear comfortable loose clothing. Sometimes you may be asked to remove an article of clothing if it makes assessment or treatment difficult. This will depend on the area being treated, the type of clothing worn and your preference.

How can I find out if an osteopath is registered?

The Osteopathic Council of New Zealand (OCNZ) was set up under the Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act to regulate the osteopathic profession in order to protect consumers. The OCNZ also maintains a public register of osteopaths, where members of the public are able to check whether individual osteopaths are registered and hold a practising certificate. Click here to view the register.

How can I make a complaint?

You have the right to make a complaint about the service you receive at our practice. We appreciate your feedback and would like to extend an invitation for you to address any issue with your osteopath directly. If you feel unable to do so please visit the website for the Health and Disability Commissioner to find out what else you can do.
