WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?
Osteopathy is a manual medicine and a holistic medicine. This
means that we use our hands to assess and treat you, plus
we look at the body as a whole.

We offer a range of approaches to treatment including gentle
techniques, massage-like techniques, articulation (movement of
joints) and mobilisation of joints. The methods we use depend on
a patient's body type, the problems they present with and their
personal preferences.

Our philosophy is that a person is a unit of body, mind and spirit.
Our bodies are capable of self-regulation, self-healing and health
maintenance.

Osteopaths are primary healthcare professionals and work with
other registered health professionals including midwives, general
practitioners, specialists and radiologists to provide the best care
to their patients.

Osteopaths are regulated under the same laws as doctors and
nurses.
We practice in accordance with the Osteopathic Council
of NZs - Kaunihera Haumanu Tuahiwi o Aotearoa (OCNZs) code
of conduct. This ensures a high standard of care for our patients.

Our osteopaths work with ACC. We can file a new injury and treat
patients with existing claims without referral from a GP.
