Shelley Joe MScMed (Pain Mgmt), BAppSci (ClinSc), BOstSc MIASP, MNZPS Osteopath Shelley completed her double osteopathic degrees in Melbourne in 1996 and was the first osteopath worldwide to complete the post-graduate Science of Medicine Masters in Pain Management at Sydney University in conjunction with the Royal North Shore Hospital in 2002. She was also instrumental in setting up the first internationally recognised osteopathic programme in New Zealand in 1997.
Over the past 25 years in practice, Shelley has treated people from all walks of life including elite athletes (including paralympians), babies to the very old, those with both sedentary and active lifestyles, acute injuries and chronic conditions. She has a wealth of experience and is constantly updating her knowledge as a member of pain societies both nationally and internationally.
A Kiwi come-home, born in Oamaru and just recently returned to Christchurch with English husband Nick, a pain specialist and mindfulness teacher to bring up their two daughters closer to home. Shelley is enjoying being back in the family fold and being active in both the local school and professional communities.
